I like sayings, motivational sayings.

Sometimes, doodling and not worrying about creating a "work of art" is

what is needed to get me motivated, to get me thinking about the next

project.  My sketch book is just for that. So sometimes I take a saying

that I like and just doodle with it - you never know where it will take you.

Calm Waters

This is a small 7x10 acrylic ink painting and the most recent one.  It seemed to be a lake painting right from the start and the rowboat, well that just seemed an appropriate fit.

Perched

This is a painting done in Acrylic inks and is 8x14 of 5 red winged blackbirds.  The fun part of these paintings is putting the colours down and letting them flow into a pattern. Then you find what you seen in them and what you can add to the create the illusion.
