Plein Air Paintings at Belcarra Park, B.C.

These are two small plein air paintings I did just recently down at Belcarra Park.  They are both 8x10 acrylics on gesso board.  I had a lovely afternoon with friends and enjoyed painting outdoors, which is something I don't normally do....but I will definitely be doing more of it.

Flying High - Not for sale

This is a 18.5"x 14" acrylic on gessoed board of my step daughter Debbie when she was a kid flying kites in in the dunes in Orgegon.

Grouse Mtn. Grizzly - SOLD

This is a 8" x 10" varnished and waxed watercolour painting.  The watercolour is varnished and then mounted on a wooden cradel and then a wax finish is applied.  This process eliminates the need to have the watercolour painting protected by glass.

Little Deer - SOLD

This is a 6" x 6" varnished and waxed watercolour painting.  The watercolour is varnished and then mounted on a wooden cradel and then a wax finish is applied.  This process eliminates the need to have the watercolour painting protected by glass.

The little deer found a cool place to spend some time and allow me enjoy their presence.  How could you not paint them.
