This is a watercolour painting that will be displayed at the Federation of Canadian Artists gallery on Granville Island in Vancouver, B.C. in their Landscape show on March 25th - April 13, 2014.

FABRIANO IN WATERCOLOUR 2014

I am pleased to announce that I have been invited to participate in an international exhibition in Fabriano, Italy.  Invited artists will be from Canada, Italy, Belgium, Mexico, USA, Turkey, and Egypt and will display their watercolour works in prestigious locations in Fabriano, Italy from June 12th - July 6th, 2014. Each delegate is asked to submit 1 painting in watercolour for display and the expected number of paintings will be approximately 300 in total.

So my painting called "Artic White" (16.5 " x 24.5") has been completed and submitted and even though I personally cannot attend in Italy, I look forward to participating in this event.

February, 2014 ART SHOWS

I'll be participating in two art shows this month:

"TWISTED" at the Port Moody Art Centre.  Reception will be held on Feb. 19, 2014 from 6 - 9 and I will have 2 paintings in this juried exhibition.

"ART TO GO" at the Port Moody Rec Centre will be put on by the Port Moody Art Association and is a one day show only.  See it, love, take it!  I will be there with lots of paintings to look at.  Doors open at 11 am until 5 pm.

SUITE E LIFE DRAWING ANNUAL SHOW

I am an active member of the Suite E Life Drawing Group that meets every Tuesday evening from 7 to 10 p.m. Sept. to June.  We are having our annual show at the Port Moody Art Centre at 2425 St. John's Street, Port Moody, B.C. starting on Sept. 12 through to Oct. 13, 2013.  The opening reception is on Sept. 12, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  The show is a portrait show of some of the members of the Port Moody community and I have 5 portraits in the show.  If your in the area come by and see our work.

This is a small 7" x 9" Acrylic on Paper painting that was displayed at the Port Moody Art Centre in Aug of 2013 in the Architectural show.

Cascade Ridge

This is the watercolour painting was shown at the Federation of Canadian Artists gallery. The show is the 1st FCA International Watercolour Biennale 2013 Invitational Exhibition.  It is 19 1/4 " x 28".  The FCA show was until May 5, 2013 and then the exhibition moved to the International Arts Gallery located at 88 West Pender St. Vancouver.

First FCA International Watercolour Biennale Invitational Exhibition

I'm very pleased that I have been invited to participate in the First FCA International Watercolour Biennale Invitational Exhibition.  There will be 40 European artists from Spain and Portugal as well as 21 Canadian artists.  The paintings will be displayed from April 23 - May 5, 2013 at the Federation of Canadian Artists Gallery on Granville Island and then displayed at the International Arts Gallery on Pender St. in Vancouver, B.C.  A reception will be held on April 25, 2013 at the Federation gallery from 6 - 8 p.m.  The theme for the show is Landscapes, urban, rural or nature and it will definitely be interesting to see the work produced.
