Side by Side SOLD

This is a 6" x 8" watercolour that has been varnished, waxed and mounted on a basswood cradle.
These deer came (and two others) came and spent the afternoon under a fir tree in my front yard.

These little watercolours are finished by varnishing and waxing them and then permanently put on basswood cradles which have worked out very well and is a new technique for me.

Second Plein Air Painting Trip to Belcarra Park

Back to Belcarra Park to paint again. These are two 8 x10 acrylic paintings done there. I did tweek them when I got home but the majority of the painting was done on site. My goal is to stay loose and work quickly to capture what I see. I had a great day with friends and at my favorite site.

Plein Air Paintings at Belcarra Park, B.C.

These are two small plein air paintings I did just recently down at Belcarra Park. They are both 8x10 acrylics on gesso board. I had a lovely afternoon with friends and enjoyed painting outdoors, which is something I don't normally do....but I will definitely be doing more of it.

Grouse Mtn. Grizzly - SOLD

This is a 8" x 10" varnished and waxed watercolour painting. The watercolour is varnished and then mounted on a wooden cradel and then a wax finish is applied. This process eliminates the need to have the watercolour painting protected by glass.

The little deer found a cool place to spend some time and allow me enjoy their presence. How could you not paint them.
